What is the Icon laser?

What can I expect from my Icon treatment?

Our master aesthetician will deliver pulses of laser or light energy to the area you want to treat, which breaks up skin imperfections and stimulates collagen production. Over time, your treatments start to reveal the smoother, younger looking skin underneath. What makes the Icon unique is that it targets wrinkles, scars, and skin imperfections without damaging the surrounding skin.

You may notice changes in the appearance of your skin shortly after your first treatment, though the most dramatic results occur as collagen production begins over the next few months. While you may be satisfied after one treatment, we recommend coming in for maintenance treatment when needed. Many patients typically return for one to three treatments to enhance and maintain their results.

Each session takes approximately 30 minutes, though the time varies from treatment to treatment. While the treatment itself may feel mildly uncomfortable, tell our aesthetician if you feel too much pain.

What are the side effects of an Icon treatment?

Because the Icon laser is a noninvasive treatment, there are very few risks. Side effects such as redness, swelling, itching, and minor changes in skin color are perfectly normal. They should subside over the next few days.
